The goal of this campaign was to resurrect a beloved horror icon for a new generation while establishing the film as a modern retelling of a horror classic. Utilizing strategic announcements, innovative activations, digital stunts, cast appearances and a range of creative materials, this campaign made Child’s Play an event for both genre and mainstream audiences during a crowded Summer box office.

Troll Story (Toy Story) Campaign
In the vein of Chucky’s dark humor and mischief, an ambitious yet light-hearted campaign was launched to serve as counter-programming against Child’s Play’s box office competition. These pieces re-purposed iconic and well-recognized material from Toy Story in an edgy fashion, while simultaneously building awareness for the film’s release in an unexpected way.
